The Internet contains a significant amount of information about clergy sexual abuse of children, its cover up by the Institutional Church (bishops and popes), support of sexual abuse survivors, Church financial mismanagement, and lack of financial transparency and accountability. Voice from the Desert

Supports survivors of clergy sexual abuse and examines the cover up, causes, and effects of that abuse.

SNAP--Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests

A volunteer self-help organization of survivors of clergy sexual abuse and their supporters. Works to end the cycle of abuse in two ways:  by supporting fellow survivors in personal healing and by persuing justice and institutional change by holding individual perpetrators responsible and the church accountable.

Road to Recovery

Offers compassionate counseling and referral services to survivors of clergy sexual abuse. Founded by two priest advocates, Fr. Robert M. Hoatson and Fr. Kenneth E. Lasch (himself a survivor of abuse), Road to Recovery assists survivors with their emotional, psychological, financial, and spiritual needs as they attempt to recover from the effects of clergy sexual abuse.

Bishop Accountability

Documents the abuse crisis. Includes major collections of diocesan and investigative files and the financial fallout from the crisis.

Nat'l Ass'n to Prevent Sexual Abuse of Children

NAPSAC is dedicated to the prevention of childhood sexual abuse and the support of survivors through education, advocacy, and legal reform.

Call To Action (CTA)

Call To Action (CTA) is a Catholic movement working for equality and justice in the Church and society. CTA draws its mission from the US Bishops' 1976 Call To Action conference, and the "Call for Reform in the Catholic Church" proclaimed by more than 20,000 signers (New York Times, Ash Wednesday, 1990).
